Join Ken Burns as Houston Public Media hosts an evening moderated by Brené Brown to preview his new film, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. The event will feature selections from the documentary, and a behind-the-scenes panel discussion with Burns, his co-director Sarah Botstein, Jane Kamensky, PhD, President & CEO, Monticello and Dr. Kelly Hopkins, an Assistant Professor of Early North American History at the University of Houston.
Directed by Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION premieres on Sunday, November 16, on Houston Public Media TV 8 (PBS). The six-part, 12-hour documentary series explores the country’s founding and its eight-year War for Independence.
