This concert will feature Houston native and world-renowned drummer, composer, and producer Chris “Daddy” Dave. One of the most innovative drummers today, Chris spans styles from jazz and gospel to R&B and hip-hop. He has recorded on Grammy Award-winning albums, including Adele’s 21, and performed with artists such as Kenny Garrett, D’Angelo, and Robert Glasper, as well as his own group, Chris Dave and the Drumhedz.
The performance also features Houston native Scott Hardy on acoustic bass and guitar, joined by Leslie Pintchik on piano and Michael Sarin on drums. Currently based in New York, Scott has performed with legends like Kenny Barron and Rufus Reid. The New York Times has praised his "awesome rhythmic fluidity" and endless harmonic creativity.
