Description
Presented by Teatro Indigo
Calavera con Calavera returns for its 13th season, bringing Día de los Muertos to life through an unforgettable celebration of Mexican culture, music, dance, theater, and tradition.
Presented by Teatro Índigo, this original theatrical production, written by co-founder, Eddie Gonzalez, takes audiences on a colorful journey between the worlds of the living and the departed, where beloved traditions, family, humor, and remembrance come together on one stage. Featuring live mariachi, folklórico dance, vibrant characters, and heartfelt storytelling, Calavera con Calavera celebrates the beauty and meaning behind one of Mexico’s most treasured traditions.
At its heart, the production is about remembering those who came before us—not with sadness alone, but with music, laughter, stories, and celebration. Audiences of all backgrounds are invited to experience the colors, sounds, and spirit of Día de los Muertos while discovering the traditions that continue to connect generations.
For more than a decade, Calavera con Calavera has brought families and communities together to celebrate heritage through the performing arts. This November, Grupo de Teatro Índigo proudly continues that tradition at the Hobby Center, creating an evening where culture takes center stage and where, for a little while, the living and the departed celebrate together.
