Description

Presented by Moores School of Music, University of Houston

The University of Houston's Moores School of Music is proud to present Trio Magnoliana: Four Centuries of the Piano Trio, the last performance of the 2024-2025 Faculty Artist Series.

Formed in 2023, Trio Magnoliana features Mann-Wen Lo (Professor of Practice in Violin), Eunghee Cho (Professor of Practice in Cello), and Andrew Staupe (Assisant Professor of Piano), all internationally-renowned concert soloists and faculty at the University of Houston, and each member brings a wealth of professional experience to this riveting new artistic partnership, the only professional chamber music ensemble at the Moores School of Music. Our professional aim is to highlight the greatest works for the Trio repertoire from the onset of the form in the Baroque Era, through the masterpieces of the Romantic and 20th centuries, and to continue through commissioned world premieres written specifically for Trio Magnoliana.
